Over the years as a leader in the fitness industry, I’ve encountered both the amazingness of movement and nutrition as medicine for the body and mind and the heartbreaking plight that comes with so many attempting to reach an unattainable level of physical perfection, as well as witnessing extremes, patterns of self-sabotage, avoidance and suppressed trauma.

It’s been my goal to help people identify how their inner struggles manifest in dysfunctional eating and exercise habits – ultimately opening up the space to work through these issues more holistically. As it’s become increasingly clear to me, healing and health are not just skin deep. Trauma, the nervous system, and other psychological aspects all play a role in our overall health and wellness.

In FED you will go on a journey of courting yourself - tending to the needs of your body, creating safety in the body while feeding the parts of you that are using food to comfort and soothe. Helping to find the root of disordered eating and self-sabotaging behaviors.

 

Across 3 months will create a balanced routine that is aligned with your emotional, mental, and physical body. With years of personal experience, and years coaching men and women of all ages, you will receive proven strategic methods to support, starting with things that you can implement immediately followed by the necessary internal work that is needed to get to the root of these patterns and behaviors.

This intimate approach allows me to not only teach and empower you to have tools that you can use for the rest of your life, yet also creates a space for you to discover your needs and for those needs to be met, held, and tended to. 

This container includes 12 weekly calls and text/voice messaging support Monday-Thursday, as well as a customized nutrition plan, and supplement and fitness recommendations with weekly check-ins. The weekly call will be broken into two parts.

Part one: Cover the many layers of disordered eating, body dysmorphia, as well as the fundamentals of nutrition and fitness. We will walk through your current behaviors and patterns that may be present and talk about what may emotionally be alive for you.

Part two: We will go deep into the somatic body and parts work. Somatic therapies work by addressing the feedback loop that continually runs between the mind and the body - further to this it helps to target the underlying cause of emotional, psychological, and sometimes physical dis-ease which is often rooted in unprocessed emotional charges.

At the end of our container, you will have a clearer understanding of your patterns, and the root of these patterns and have tools that will help when your triggers arise so you are less reactive and more able to remain in a state of curious exploration while in the process of healing and unlearning these deep patterns and behaviors that are oftentimes passed down from many generations.

Often times this is enough, however, there are cases that a 3-month container only scratches the surface of the emotional aspect of this process. If this is the case for you it may be recommended that you continue somatic and parts work sessions to facilitate deeper healing and integration of these newly discovered “parts”.

Either way, this is a phenomenal way to embark on this cocreation of falling in love with yourself and giving yourself what you didn’t get when you needed it the most …

As someone who has conquered a 25-year battle with a binge eating disorder, I'm passionate about understanding the science behind why and how it occurs, both as a professional and as an individual. Through my studies of trauma-informed psychotherapy, somatics, and the nervous system, I've developed an understanding of how to help those who are ready to uncover the cause of their self-sabotage in order to gain freedom from irrational habits and struggles. Holistic Renewal (of the 4 bodies; physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual) is the term that dropped into my awareness when I went from survival mode to face-it mode in my own body, mind, and soul, and began to share this as I transitioned into a teacher and coach.
